Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To modulate the high-frequency output without changing the energy of electromagnetic waves by the modulation of an anode power source.
SOLUTION: This power source is provided with an electron gun section constituted of a cathode electrode 2 and an anode electrode 3, a body section 6 having a cavity resonator generating a large-power high frequency via the interaction between the electron beam generated by the cathode electrode 2 and the magnetic field, and a collector section 13 collecting the electron beam after the electromagnetic waves generated by the body section 6 are outputted to the outside. A collector power source 33 applying a voltage to a collector section 13 and an anode power source 31 applying a voltage to the anode electrode 3 using the cathode electrode 2 as the reference potential respectively and a body power source 32 applying a voltage to the body section 6 using the anode power source 31 as a reference potential are independently formed respectively. The anode power source 31 has a function to modulate the output, and it modulates the high frequency outputted from a gyroton.
