PURPOSE: To obtain a hair cosmetic providing the hair with feeling of smoothness and moisture without supplying looseness by blending a hair cosmetic base with a silicone oil and a guanidine derivative.

CONSTITUTION: A hair cosmetic base is blended with 0.01-20wt.% silicone oil and 0.05-10wt.% guanidine derivative shown by the formula (R1 is 1-22C alkyl or alkenyl; A is 1-10C alkylene or alkenylene; m is 0 or 1; n is 1-5) containing an amide group in the molecule or salt thereof. The blend is further mixed properly with an ordinary surfactant, polymer compound, oil component, vitamins, crude drug, ultraviolet light absorber, antioxidant, germicidal antiseptic, solvent, dyestuff, perfume, etc., and prepared to give the objective substance. The objective substance is applicable to hair rinse, hair treatment, hair blow, hair cream, etc.
