This hair dye composition includes the (A) component and (B) component, includes a nonionic surfactant whose HLB value is ≥13 by ≥60 mass% to the whole quantity of the (A) component on use, includes the (B) component by ≥5 mass% to the whole quantity of the hair dye composition, and the mass ratio (B)/(A) in the whole quantity of the hair dye composition is 1.4 to 4.5: (A) a nonionic surfactant and (B) polyethylene glycol.
