Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair treating composition capable of imparting a touch such as softness, moistness and smoothness to the hair by combining a specified surfactant with a benzene derivative, a specific organosiloxane polymer and an acid and adjusting the pH within an acidic range.
SOLUTION: This hair treating composition comprises (1) a cationic surfactant and an anionic surfactant having sulfate group or sulfonate group in the total amount of 0.5-10.0wt.%, (2) a compound of formula I [R1 is H, CH3 or OCH2; R2 is CH2OH, CH2CH2OH, CH(CH3)OH, etc.], (3) 0.001-20.0wt.% amino-modified silicone derivative which is a polymer of an organosiloxane, having at least one aminoalkyl group in the molecule and (4) an acid and has the pH adjusted to 1.5 to 4.5. The cationic surfactant preferably includes compounds of formula II {one to two of R3 to R6 are each R7(OCH2CH2)m [R7 is an alkyl, etc.; (m) is 0-10]; the rest is alkyls, etc.}. The anionic surfactant includes, for example, sodium lauryl sulfate.
