To provide a method for printing a nap fabric, comprising drawing an uneven pattern synchronized with a print pattern on the surface of the fabric with laser beams to form a composite pattern comprising the print pattern and the uneven pattern, and further micronizing melted standing fiber products by the irradiation with laser beams to un-necessitate the dissolution removal of the melted products after the irradiation with the laser beams.
This method for printing a nap fabric is characterized by (1) printing and imparting a printing paste having a coloring ingredient for coloring standing fibers 44 and an anti-melting ingredient for preventing the thermal fusion of the standing fibers on a nap layer 41 composed of the standing fibers 44 of thermally fusible synthetic fibers, (2) irradiating the nap layer 41 to which the anti-melting ingredient is imparted with laser beams, (3) thermally deforming a part of the standing fibers 44 through the surface of the nap layer 41 by the irradiation with the laser beams, and (4) clarifying pattern edges 47 between the printing paste-printed portions 42 and the printing paste-unprinted portions 43 by the differences of the thermal deformation degrees of the standing fibers. The pilose fabric can be printed, while partially changing one of the anti-melting ingredient contained in the printing paste, the content of the anti-melting ingredient and the printing amount of the printing paste.
