Abstract:

To develop a highly-active catalyst which is used for efficient halogenation under a mild condition and can be easily recovered after reaction and be recycled with respect to reaction.

This halogenation catalyst includes an oxidized transition metal composite (a) indicated by a general formula (1) AxMO(2+0.5x) (wherein, A represents alkali metal, M represents at least one transition metallic element selected from a group consisting of chromium, manganese, cobalt, nickel and iron, and x represents a number of 0<x≤2). Alternatively, the halogenation catalyst is formed from the oxidized transition metal composite (a) and oxygen (b).
