Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent cracks from occurring in a hammer fitting axial hole part and also to cause no damage to a fitting axis even when using a hammer of high hardness and of a single material and form under high impact.
CONSTITUTION: A hammer body 1 is made of a single material of high hardness such as low alloy cast steel or high Cr- cast steel, and also annular engaging recessed parts 5 a little expanding outwards are formed at both the end edge parts of a fitting axial hole 4 which become both the surface sides of a hammer. A collar 7 has annular engaging projection parts 8 engaged with the engaging recessed parts 5, and is at least bisected in the axial direction, and the respective bisected pieces are inserted and fitted in the fitting axial hole 4. The collar 7 is made of a material such as high manganese cast steel or low alloy cast steel having higher toughness to impact than the hammer body 1, and a joining inner end part 9 thereof is welded and fixed.
