Title:
HAND CUTTER AND BASE-FABRIC CUT EDGE STRUCTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3765087
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finely cut an electrothermally cuttable base fabric so that it does not need to be recut with scissors by solving problems such as a fire risk, adhesion of a molten lump to a cut edge and irregularity of the cut edge in melt cutting the electrothermally cuttable base fabric.
SOLUTION: An electrothermally cuttable base fabric is cut with a hand cutter provided with a cutting edge having a cutting edge slope width X and a cutting edge curved surface width Z of 20 micrometers or less, an electrothermal element heating the cutting edge, a temperature detection element of the cutting edge, and a setting element setting a heating temperature of the cutting edge, and with the cutting edge set at 140-320°C. In a cut edge C (P0), a part of thermoplastic synthetic fibers F are melted and bonded with adjacent thermoplastic synthetic fibers F, a part of adjacent thermoplastic synthetic fibers F at a position P1 apart from the cut edge C by 50 micrometers inside respectively are melted and bonded, adjacent thermoplastic synthetic fibers F at the position P3 apart by 150 micrometers have a clear cross section contour H so that the thermoplastic synthetic fibers can be seen one by one, and all adjacent thermoplastic synthetic fibers F at a position P4 apart by 250 micrometers are in a separation state without being melted and bonded.
