In the hand dryer, an arcuate nozzle 1 is provided at the bottom of a groove 2 formed along the peripheral side of a lower surface of a cylindrical container 4 housing the motor fan 3, the motor fan 3, the container 4, and the arcuate nozzle 1 are concentrically positioned, an outside air suction hole 5 is provided on back of the arcuate nozzle 1, and an ion generator is housed near an inlet 7 of the motor fan 3.
