PURPOSE: To provide the hand exchange device of a working apparatus to increase an effective space, in which constituting members for the working apparatus are installed, through reduction of a dead space occasioned by exchange of a hand.

CONSTITUTION: A hand rest 2 is provided with a support part 12 to hold a hand 1 and an engaging part 13 arranged above the support part 12 and stabilizing the hand 1 in a support state is arranged to the upper part of the support part 12. The hand 1 is provided with a flange part 4 protruded to one side so that it can be supported from below by the support part 12, and an engaging and disengaging member 9a engaged and disengaged with and from the engaging part 13. The engaging and disengaging member 9a is released from engagement in linkage with operation to couple the hand 1 to a hand coupling part 3 on the working apparatus side and engaged in linkage with coupling release operation.
