PURPOSE: To provide a hand-held crimper device provided with a crimping party at a forward end of a casing having such as diameter as to be capable of being gripped in which a power source and a power transmission mechanism are contained.
CONSTITUTION: A motor 2 is contained inside a casing 1 at its one end, and output shaft 3 is connected to a base part 6a of a forward end-open cylinder type drive shaft 6 at a center part of the casing through a gear reduction mechanism 4 and a friction clutch 5, and a converting mechanism 8 is formed comprising a cam follower 6b having an oval shape in cross section and protruding in an inner surface of the shaft so as to convert the rotation of the shaft into linear motion of pressure contact rod 7, and a 8-letter shaped cam grooved 17 etched at the base part 7a of the rod 7. At a forward end of the rod protruding from the other end of the casing 1 to be capable of advancing or retracting, a crimper die 10 held between guide rails 9, 9 to advance straight is installed. An anvil die 11 is fixed between forward end parts of the rails, and a space 12 is formed between the die 10 and the anvil die 11 for inserting a crimp- style terminal on which a wire end part which is not yet crimped is temporarily installed and for removing the terminal provided with a crimped wire in accordance with advance/retraction of the crimper die 10.
