Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a system bus from being occupied for a long time by shortening the retry time as much as possible at the time of performing the retry processing because of the occurrence of error.
CONSTITUTION: The device which executes read of plural data blocks by one command is provided with a retry control part 28 and a transfer mode switching means (AND circuit 29); and if a read error occurs, a retry request is reported to a host by a retry control part, and the transfer mode is switched, and data of the command is transferred again in the buffer mode. Pointer save means (30 and 31) are provided, and if a read error occurs, a retry request is reported to the host by the retry control part, and the buffer pointer of an already read data block is saved by the pointer save means, and read is started from an unread data block at the time of executing recommand.
