To provide a handle location detection device which can detect a neutral position simply at a low cost, when a handle rotates beyond one rotation, and further detect its steering angle accurately.
A steering angle detection device 1 as the handle location detection device is equipped with a spindle 6 which is interlocked with steering of a handle 2 and moves in a movable region installed correspondingly to rotating region of the handle 2, a resister 7 and a voltmeter 9. The movable region is established on the resister 7, and the spindle 6 moves rectilineraly on the resister 7. The voltmeter 9 measures a voltage between an end portion of moving direction of the spindle 6 in the resister 7 and a position of the spindle 6, as information concerning position. A steering angle of the handle 2 is detected based on the voltage measured by the voltmeter 9.
