To provide a handle for a tableware sterilizing storage, which is improved in safety and operating ease thereof when a front door of the storage is opened/closed, and facilitates cleaning of the storage.
The handle 12 for the tableware sterilizing storage consists of a base portion 14 which is arranged on a front surface of the front door and formed of a material having heat insulating properties and being low in heat conductivity, and a grip portion 16 which is rotatably disposed on the base portion 14. The entirety of the almost central portion of the base portion 14 exclusive of an area on which the grip portion 16 is disposed, has a recessed portion 14a formed therein, which has a depth sufficient for placing a hand, fingers, etc., thereon. An external surface at each end of the grip portion 16 with respect to its lengthwise direction, is roundly formed so as to approach the surface of the front door 11 as it is closer to an open end thereof. As a result, clothes, etc., of the operator are prevented from being caught on the grip portion.
