To provide a handrail and a framework scaffolding capable of mounting a mounting member for a vertical support column without causing interference with building materials, a horizontal member and surrounding members.

This handrail is provided with a pair of vertical support columns 2, 3, a horizontal support constructed rotatably between upper ends of each vertical support column, the mounting member provided in a lower part of each vertical support column, and a guide for attaching a safety rope inserted into the horizontal support and erected in the longitudinal direction on one side or both sides of a scaffolding board, wherein each vertical support column is composed of a main body 5, a supporting plate in an upper end part of the main body, a pair of right and left supporting rods 9 constituted by attaching the supporting plate in the forward and backward directions to them, and locking holes provided in the vertical direction in the supporting rods. The horizontal support is composed of a main body 7 having outside diameter having the same length as that of the supporting rod, supporting pieces at both right and left ends of the main body, and a pin insertion hole. A lock mechanism R provided with a pair of right and left vertically movable locking pins 13 is attached to the supporting plate, the supporting piece of the horizontal support is rotatably inserted into either of the supporting rods through the pin insertion hole, and the locking pin is detachably inserted into either of the locking holes.
