To provide a handrail guiding device for a passenger conveyor wherein the running resistance of a handrail is reduced by making the handrail guiding device easier to conform with the handrail at its curved portion and parts can easily be replaced or newly added.
In the handrail guiding device for a passenger conveyor, which has straight portions and curved portions, the curved portion 3 comprises: a pair of fastening devices 13 fixed at both ends of a curved handrail frame 6; a roller chain 10 having each of its ends fastened to each of the fastening devices 13, tensionedly extended along the curved handrail frame 6, and provided with link plates; and large-diameter rollers 7a rotatably journaled to the link plates to rotate in contact with the back side 4a of the handrail 4 as the handrail 4 travels.
