Abstract:
To provide a hands on-off detection device capable of executing robust hands-on/hands-off detection for road surface reaction torque or the like.SOLUTION: The hands on-off detection device includes: a torque sensor 29 fitted on an input shaft and an output shaft; an electric motor 30 connected with the output shaft; and a controller. The controller acquires a steering torque from the torque sensor, and acquires a rotor rotation angle and a motor current value from the electric motor, and calculates a motor torque. The controller estimates a disturbance torque, executes low-pass filter treatment for the disturbance torque and the steering torque, makes phase comparison between the disturbance torque and the steering torque after the low-pass filter treatment, and when it is determined that the disturbance torque and the steering torque have the same phase, determines the disturbance torque to be a torque input from the input shaft side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
