To provide hard coat transfer foil which can perform transfer in good transfer sharpness when a hard coat layer having high surface durability such as abrasion resistance and solvent resistance is transferred to a medium (body to be transferred) such as a card.
In the layer construction of a substrate 11/mold release layer 13/hard coat layer 14/ultraviolet absorption layer 18/adhesive layer 19, the mold release layer 13 is made of a melamine based resin, the hard coat layer contains an ionizing radiation curable resin and polyethylene wax, and the ultraviolet absorption layer 18 and the adhesive layer 19 contain microsilica. In the hard coat layer, the ionizing radiation curable resin/the polyethylene wax=100/0.01-10. In the ultraviolet absorption layer, the ionizing radiation curable resin/the microsilica=90-94/6-10. In the adhesive layer, a polyester resin/the microsilica=90-94/6-10. The thickness of the hard coat layer is 5-25 m.
