To provide a hard disk device which is also capable of leaving television programs for several times of broadcast on a hard disk when automatically deleting from the hard disk a television program broadcast periodically like every week or everyday.

On the assumption that television programs 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 are series dramas, first broadcast is the television program 21, second broadcast is the television program 22, third broadcast is television program 23, fourth broadcast is the television program 24 and fifth broadcast is the television program 25, when video-recording the television program 25 on Jan. 29 (this day) in a state where the television programs 21, 22, 23, 24 are recorded on a hard disk, if the television program 21 has been played back, the television program 21 is deleted and the television program 25 is recorded on the hard disk. The television programs 22, 23, 24, 25 therefore become television programs to be newly left on the hard disk.
