Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a hardening composition improved in adhesiveness to an aluminum base or to a base having an epoxy resin coating, gloss, water resistance, alkali resistance, moisture resistance and weatherability.
CONSTITUTION: The hardening composition comprising an aminosilane-modified epoxy compound as a hardener and a nonaqueous dispersion of a vinyl polymer in which both a dispersion stabilizer resin and dispersed resin particles are vinyl copolymers, and at least one of them contains a hydrolyzable silyl group of the formula (where R1 is alkyl, aryl or aralkyl; x is a halogen atom, alkoxy, acyloxy or hydroxyl; and k is an integer of 1, 2 or 3).
