Abstract:
To provide a hazardous material treating system which can attain complete treatment of an equipment polluted with PCB such as a transformer.
This hazardous material treating system is constituted by providing a carbonizing means 13 for carbonizing an organic material 11 such as paper, wood and a resin containing or being stuck with a hazardous substance (PCB, for example) by using sulfuric acid 12 and heating, an extracting means 16 for extracting the hazardous substance from a carbonized material 14 by using an extracting liquid 15 and a hazardous substance decomposing treating means 18 for decomposingly treating the hazardous substance in an extract 17.
