PURPOSE: To improve the actuating property and to enable to simplify the driving mechanism, by means of inclining the optical axis of a head lamp simplify by a certain quantity to up and down direction only by changing over the outside switch set up at a driver seat etc.

CONSTITUTION: When a motor 22 is rotated at normal of reverse direction by a change-over switch 15 in the control circuit, the rotation is reduced by a reduction gear 21, and is conducted to a sending screw 53 from an output axis 21a. When the sending screw 53 is rotated at normal or reverse direction, a mover 51 is moved forward and backward along the axial direction of the sending screw 53 attended with the rotation, being conducted to an actuating arm 54 by means of allowing this to be converted to a normal cross direction by a crank 57, thereby the optical axis of a head lamp (not shown in the drawing) is regulated via a ball joint 56 combined with this actuating arm 54. By such means, the operation becomes simplified and the actuating property is improved, and the leveling actuation at the car running time becomes also very easy.
