Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head motion measuring unit capable of measuring the motion of a head part with precision in real time.
SOLUTION: This head motion measuring unit 1 is equipped with a head selecting part 3, feature point tracking part 4, and rotation angle estimating part 5. The head detecting part 3 detects a head area of the object of the measurement from a face image. The feature point tracking part 4 selects feature points in the head area and tracks the feature points by frames continuously. The rotation angle estimating part 5 estimates the rotation angle of the head part based on changes of positions of feature points between frames.
