PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted display device with which control apparatuses can be intuitively operated.SOLUTION: A transmissive head-mounted display device is provided, which includes: an image display unit that displays a virtual image and can transmit an outside scene; a target acquiring unit that acquires a target selectable within a predetermined distance range from the image display unit and acquires a position of a specific object included in the outside scene; and a control unit described below. The control unit displays, as a virtual image by using the above image display unit, a target-mapped virtual image mapped with the acquired target; specifies changes in the position of the specific object based on the acquired position of the specific object; selects the target based on a relationship between the specified changes in the position of the specific object and the position of the acquired target; and displays as a virtual image by using the above image display unit, a specified confirmation image mapped to the selected target.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
