Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head-mounted image display device having a lightweight and simple structure, which stably holds an image display module for projecting image light onto a user's eye.SOLUTION: The head-mounted image display device of the present invention includes an image display unit for projecting image light onto a user's eye, and a head band part where the image display unit is detachably attached at an observation position in front of the user's eye. The head band part includes an elastically deformable head band made of a thin plate having a first width and extending in an arch form along the head circumference, and a connection receptacle on at least one end side face of the head band to fix a connecting member of the image display unit. The head band has a fixing part in each of both ends and an occipital region. The fixing part at both ends has a second width larger than the first width and is in contact with a position outside an eye socket of user's right/left cheek bone; the fixing part at the occipital region is in contact with the occipital region of the user; and the head band is held on user's head via the abutting three fixing parts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
