PURPOSE: To make it possible to grind the tip of a laternally inclined saw blade not independently but simultaneously for the face and the back thereof by arranging the process of grinding it while permitting the tip of a whetstone to shift by a prescribed distance.
CONSTITUTION: The tips of both whetstones 4, 4' attached to the whetstone mounting shaft 6 of an abrasive head 7 are separated from the tip of a saw blade to be ground, and with the start of whetstone rotation the whestone head 7 makes grinding operation while slowly travelling as soon as, the whetstone is turned. During this processing a work is fixed since a retainer click 14 is engaged with a disc sawing blade. Then, when a work blade is fed, an attaching frame 17 connected to the rod of a cylinder 15 retreats to permit a feed click 18 to return to its home position, a retainer click mounting arm 16 is turned to permit the retainer click 14 to again retain the work blade, allowing a grinding operation to be performed. Accordingly the tip of a laterally inclined saw blade can be simultaneously ground not independently for the face and back thereof.
