PURPOSE: To orient an acoustic image in front of a listener by applying the addition signal of left and rignt channels with an opposite-phase relation to a pair of electroacoustic transducers arranged near ears of the listener.

CONSTITUTION: A pair of electroacoustic transducers 13 and 13' are arranged near left and right ears 12 and 12' of listener 2, and signals from virtual speakers 14 and 14' of left and rignt channels R and L arranged in front of listener 2 are applied to adder 15 and are added, and the signal obtained by this addition is applied to not only transducers 13 and 13' with the phase relation of channels R and L as an opposite-phase relation but also transducers 13 and 13' through delay circuits which simulate a pair of virtual speakers 14 and 14' respectively, thereby orienting the acoustic image in front of listener 2.
