Abstract:
To provide a head protection airbag device which exhibits excellent deployment performance of an airbag, although a recess depressed downward is disposed on an upper edge side of the airbag.SOLUTION: An airbag 20 comprises: a connection port part 32 of an upper edge side to be connected to an inflator for inflation gas supply; and protection inflation parts 35 juxtaposed in a fore-and-aft direction. Each protection inflation part includes: an initial inflation part 37 of an upper part 20a side; and a body inflation part 39 of a lower part 20b side. The initial inflation part of each protection inflation part is communicated along the fore-and-aft direction and becomes a gas conduction part 41 for communicating with the connection port part. In the airbag, a recess 26 depressed downward is disposed at an upper edge side site of the gas conduction part. A folded body of the airbag includes: a bellows-folding part which is folded and superposed by attaching creases along the fore-and-aft direction; and a roll-folding part which winds a lower edge side of the airbag to the upper edge side. At least one of the creases 62 and 64 of the bellows-folding parts is arranged in a region of the gas conduction part where the recess is disposed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
