Title:
HEAD PROTECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1085379
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain an inexpensive and simple head protector which protects a snowboarder for safety in a falling accident in snowboarding and which is light in weight and free from oppressive sensation.

A protector plate 2 consisting of a single or multiple layers of plate which encourages the diffusion and uniform absorption of an external impact force by being adhered closely to the back of the head, is provided nearly in the center of the head band of goggles 1 and oppositely facing the spectacle part of the goggles 1. In snowboarding downhill, the goggles 1 are worn on the face with the protector plate 2 being applied to the back of the head. The head is held between the goggles 1 in the front and the protector plate 2 in the back, with the goggles 1 and the protector plate 2 being drawn to each other through the contracting force of the head band connecting the two and stably attached to a predetermined position in the back of the head. A snowboarder can be protected in a falling accident by wearing such a goggle protector that is light in weight, free from oppressive feeling, and inexpensive and simple.
