Title:
HEAD-RELEASING DEVICE FOR SERIAL PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5867489
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a head-releasing device for a serial printer, which makes small sound during pressing period, by using a system in which when the paper feeding operation is ended and again moves toward the pressing condition, an exciting current to a magnet for releasing the head is once stopped and then a pulsative exciting current of a short time interval is applied.

CONSTITUTION: A head-releasing device is provided with a means to pressingly contact the head with a platen and a magnet-driving means for releasing the head. When moving the head-releasing state to the pressing state, an exciting current to said magnet-driving means is once stopped and a pulsative exciting current is further applied at least one time or more, whereby lessening sound generated during the pressing period of the head and the platen at the time of paper feeding and also reducing impaction to the head. As shown in Fig. when the feeding of paper is ended, signal HOH is stopped and Tr2 becomes non- conductive. MM1 is triggered, MM2 is triggered after a certain period of T1 and the Tr2 becomes conductive only for a certain period of T2.
