Abstract:
To provide a head unit which prevents increase in its size, enables reduction of the number of components forming the head unit, reduction of work hours of component design and work hours for position adjustment of a head, and reduction of costs, and can secure position accuracy of the head even if the head is attached or detached repetitively.SOLUTION: A head unit 550 includes: a head 2 which discharges droplets; and a holding part 1 which holds the head 2. The holding part 1 includes: an engagement part 11 which engages with the head 2; and pressing means 12 which presses the head 2 to the engagement part 11. The engagement part 11 has: a holding part side reference surface 13 which contacts with a head side reference surface 20 of the head 2 to restrict a position of the head 2; and a protruding part 14 protruding to the head 2 side farther than the holding part side reference surface 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
