Abstract:
To reduce a vertical parallax of a virtual image recognized by a user.SOLUTION: A head-up display apparatus 10 comprises: a display unit 14 that generates display light for a left eye by modulating first illumination light and generates display light for a right eye by modulating second illumination light; a camera 17 for imaging a user 70's both eyes positioned in an eye box 76; a both-eye position detection unit that on the basis of a picture imaged by the camera 17, detects a difference between positions in the height direction of both eyes of the user 70; a picture processing unit that depending on the difference between the positions in the height direction of both eyes of the user 70 detected by the both-eye position detection unit, generates a picture for the left eye and a picture for the right eye that are corrected so that positions of their display contents relatively shift in the vertical direction; and a display control unit that makes the picture for the left eye be displayed on the display unit at the time of generating the first illumination light and makes the picture for the right eye be displayed on the display unit at the time of generating the second illumination light.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
