Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headrest stay processing method capable of preventing defective accuracy by excess material, saving a space required for performance, and realizing high productivity.
SOLUTION: A headrest stay is inverted in the right-to-left direction with respect to a recessed part 14 formed by a preliminary forming roller 25, and pressed by a finish forming roller 30 to perform the finish forming. The preliminary forming angle δ formed by intersecting a line L to connect centers of both stay portions to each other with the advancing/retracting locus V of the center of the preliminary forming roller when pressing the roller is set to be smaller than the finish forming angle &phiv formed by intersecting the line with the advancing/retracting locus V' of the center of the finish forming roller when pressing the roller, and the angular difference θ is set to be 15°.
