To provide a headset for wireless telephone set that can simply recognize the arrival of an incoming call so as to enhance the user-friendliness in a hands-free state.
The headset for wireless telephone set is provided with a function section housing 2 that touches with one ear of a user, a pad 3 that touches with the other ear, the function section housing 2 is provided with a wireless section and a speaker 2a that send/receive a wireless signal to/from a master set, and a microphone 4 is connected and provided to the function section housing 2 or the pad 3. The function section housing 2 is provided with a mount detection means detecting that the user mounts the function section housing 2 and with a control section that increases the sound volume from the speaker 2a when the user does not mount the function section housing 2 and decreases the sound volume when the mount detection means detects that the user mounts the function section housing 2.
