Abstract:
To provide a heald support bar made of strongest possible sheet metal.
The present heald support bar for a heald shaft is made of bent sheet metal components having unbent legs (8, 9), which decreases thickness of a material, in a bending zone, before or during the bending process. As a result of generation of compression during this bending process, the thickness of the material in the bending zone slightly increases again during the bending process. Further, as the case maybe, it sometimes returns to the original value. However, in any case, it can be avoided that the thickness of the material increases beyond the thickness of the original sheet metal during the bending process.
