PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker having a heat-absorbing film prevented from being worn or scratched and improved in durability by forming a heat- absorbing film comprising a specified undercoat layer and a specified topcoat layer on the outside surface of the inner kettle.
SOLUTION: A heat-resistant resin coating material 30 comprising 100 pts.wt. heat-resistant resin and 30 pts.wt. or below fluororesin 30 and having a solid content of 40-60wt.% is mixed with a reinforcement 32 used for improving film strength and comprising 40-60wt.% metal oxide for selectively absorbing electromagnetic waves, 20-30wt.% fibrous filler 36 and 20-30wt.% exactly Fherical glass beads 37 having a particle diameter of 5-60μm to obtain an undercoating agent. A fluororesin coating material 34 is mixed with 10wt.% or below metal oxide 31 for selectively absorbing electromagnetic waves to obtain a topcoating agent. The undercoating material is applied to the external surface of an inner kettle made of a material which blackens upon thermal oxidation or made of a material with its external surface being blackened and baked for 15-20min at 380-400°C to form an undercoat layer 33 of a thickness of 15-45μm. The topcoating agent is then applied to the film to form a heat-absorbing film 22 containing a topcoat layer 35 of a thickness of 5-15μm.
