Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a heat storage unit to reduce weight, decrease a cost, and maintain high efficiency heat insulation operation for a long time by a method wherein a heat insulation member having a bearing power is divided into support bodies different from each other. CONSTITUTION: For example, cooling water of an internal combustion engine is used. An inflow conduit 20 and an outflow conduit 22 for a conduction medium to convey heat are provided. The conduits 20 and 22 are opened to an inner casing 14 and run through an intermediate chamber 18 and are guided to the outside from an outer casing 12. To support the outer casing 12 at the inner casing 14, support webs 24 are arranged at intervals and the support web is formed of a heat insulation member, having a bearing power, for example, glass fibers. Support sections partitioned from each other by the intermediate chamber are formed. The support section maintains a distance between the outer and inner casings 12 and 14 necessary to the heat insulation member, a vacuum insulated from heat is constituted between the inner and outer casings 12 and 14 to save weight.
