Title:
HEAT ACCUMULATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6029592
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to accumulate heat for a long period of time, by positively utilizing a supercooling phenomenon of a latent heat type heat-accumulating material.

CONSTITUTION: During accumulation of heat from a heater 16, a valve 12a is opened while a valve 12b is closed to release heat. In this way a vapor 9b of flon-113 is condensed on pipe walls of a radiator 10, and the condensed liquid falls downwards. The condensed liquid 9a of flon-113 is stored in a tank 13. As a result, most of flon-113 is separated from a molten liquid 8a of sodium acetate. When spontaneous radiation is permitted to proceed under this condition, the pressure in a container 7 is reduced to or below the atmospheric pressure, and the molten liquid 8a is supercooled. The molten liquid 8a retains the latent heat of melting, whereby heat can be accumulated for a long period of time.
