To provide a heat developable photosensitive material excellent in image preservability, and to provide an image forming method therfor.
The heat developable photosensitive material is obtained by disposing an image forming layer on at least one surface side of a support, wherein the image forming layer contains a photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive silver salt of an organic acid, a reducing agent and a binder, the heat developable photosensitive material is exposed using an X-ray intensifying screen, a binder-containing non-photosensitive intermediate layer A is disposed between an outermost layer remotest from the support on the surface side of the support with the image forming layer and the image forming layer, and the binder in the non-photosensitive intermediate layer A contains ≥50 mass% of a hydrophobic polymer. The image forming method for the heat developable photosensitive material is also provided.
