PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat development recording apparatus capable of making density constant independently of the number of records of heat developable recording materials and capable of uniformizing a color tone whose variation cannot be suppressed by adjustment of light exposure, and to stabilize both density and a color tone. SOLUTION: The heat development recording apparatus 100 comprises a recording section B in which a heat developable recording material 3 is exposed to form a latent image, a heat development section C in which the recording material 3 is heated to perform heat development, a slow cooling section D in which the recording material 3 after the heat development is cooled, and a temperature setting section 75 which corrects the temperature of the heat development section C on the basis of the temperature of the slow cooling section D.
