PURPOSE: To achieve a higher heat exchange rate while preventing retention of bubbles with a simple construction by setting a heat exchanger in a blood storage tank while upright tube parts of pipe bodies are arranged in a vertical way to form gaps continuing in the vertical way between the upright tube parts of the pipe bodies.
CONSTITUTION: In a blood storage tank 1, a blood storage space 5 is formed in a housing 2 comprising a body 3 and a lid body 4 to form a blood storage space 5 for storing blood. Here, an inflow port 6 is opened in the lid body 4 so as to communicate with the blood storage space 5 while a blood outflow port 7 is opened at the bottom of the body 3 to communicate the blood storage space 5. A heat exchanger 9 is set on the blood storage tank 1 and is made up of a plurality of pipe bodies mounted in the blood storage space 5, a pair of partitions 11 supporting the pipe bodies 10 and a supply part and a discharge part of a heat medium paired in the pipe bodies 10. Moreover, the pipe bodies are each made up of the pipe bodies arranged vertically in series at an equal interval.
