Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger in which bending stress generated in branch piping 7 can be more securely relaxed.SOLUTION: There is provided the heat exchanger including: a plurality of spaced fins 2; a tube which includes a plurality of straight pipes penetrating the fins 2 and a bent pipe connecting ends of adjacent straight pipes, and in which a meandered refrigerant flow passage is provided; an end plate 10 which is arranged across the fins 2 and which the bent pipe of the tube penetrates; header piping 6 supplied with a refrigerant and sending the refrigerant toward the refrigerant flow passage formed in the tube; and branch piping 7 having one end connected to the header piping 6 and the other end connected to the end plate 10, and communicating with the refrigerant flow passage. In the he heat exchanger, the end plate 10 is divided into a plurality of portions when the heat exchanger exhibits a heat exchanging function. The end plate 10 preferably has slits 15 and cuts 17 which are provided on extension lines of the slits 15 and in which a plurality of holes, penetrating the end plate between the top and reverse, are intermittently formed.
