Title:
HEAT EXCHANGER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5531229
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain miniaturization in the construction of hot water radiator for use as an automotive space heater, as well as void of rusting and no brazing work is necessitated, by adopting a method wherein the main tank is assembled by two half-cut bodies made of synthetic resin (one is the outer body and the other is the inner body), each of which is connected at the ends of tubes penetrating radiation fins.

CONSTITUTION: Tank 2 is formed by assembling two half-cut bodies 2a and 2b (both are made of FRP material) by securing the two with bolts 24, wherein the half-cut body 2a is an outer half provided with heat medium intake port 5 and its outer port 6, while the other half cut body 2b is an inner half having tube holes 14, 14. Tubes 11, 11 have a plurality of heat radiation fins 10 on them, and their both ends are expanded into two stages 16, 17 and are fixed at the tube holes 14, 14 water-tightly using gaskets 13. Heat medium flowing from intake port 5 into the entrance chamber of the tank 2, is introduced thru the front row tubes 11 which are disposed in upper and lower multi-stages, into the tanks opposing each other, and then, turning back, passing thru the rear row tubes 11, circulates to the exit chamber of the tank 2. Air is heated while it crosses the heat exchanger in the direction rectangular to the tubes.
