PURPOSE: To enable to easily contrive mass production, by a method wherein the discharge direction of a heat-exchanging fan unit can be easily changed, and manufacture of the unit can be started even when the duct position for placing the unit is not yet determined.

CONSTITUTION: In a heat-exchanging fan unit comprising a heat exchanger 3, an intake fan and an exhaust fan contained in a single unit casing 3, the fan 6 is composed of a spiral casing 6a incorporating an impeller, a motor 6b for driving the impeller and a rectangular parallelepiped form frame body 6c for containing these members, and the discharge direction of the fan is made to have a degree of freedom. Further, an intake port for the fan 6 is made to conform to the direction of an air flow passing through the heat exchanger 3, and a side face of the unit housing 1 is provided with two or more closable openings 1bW1d. Accordingly, since the discharge direction of the heat-exchanging fan unit can be easily changed and is made to have a degree of freedom, it is able to easily contrive mass production of the heat-exchanging unit.
