Title:
HEAT-GENERATING BOILING METHOD BY ELECTROLYSIS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06206073
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To easily and simply obtain heat-generating boiling and to develop and utilize a heat-generating boiling method by means of the AC electrolysis of seawater containing salt and deuterium for an industrial purpose by electrolyzing of an electrolyte wherein chlorine is added to deuterium.

CONSTITUTION: A soln. wherein the pH of deuterium is adjusted to about 5 or less by chlorine blown from a chlorine cylinder is received in a container and electrolysis is started under predetermined conditions. Electrodes are formed using the same material quality and voltage is started from zero volt and, when the voltage rises to 100 bolt, bubbling is generated from both electrodes and temp. rises suddenly and boiling is generated at 98°C. The time up to a temp. rise is about 2min. and, even when voltage is lowered to 40 volt, boiling is continued. Further, electrolysis is stopped and temp. is lowered to 15°C in a refrigerator and, when electrolysis is again performed under the same conditions, a liquid rises in temp. to be boiled at 98°C. An additive is added to deuterium and an AC power supply is combined and electrolysis is performed by both electrodes and heat-generating boiling is easily and rapidly performed and repeated reproduction is enabled.
