Abstract:
To provide a heat insulating material with a heat insulating layer, excellent not only in heat insulation but also heat resistance and compression resistance.SOLUTION: A heat insulating material 1 comprises a heat insulating layer 10 that has: a porous structure in which a plurality of particles are connected to form a skeleton, and which has pores inside, and has a hydrophobic site at least on the surface of the surface and the inside; a reinforcing fiber; and metal oxide nanoparticles as a binder. The heat insulating layer 10 has a mass weight loss rate of 10% or less in thermogravimetric analysis held at 500°C for 30 minutes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
