PURPOSE: To permit the control of the flow direction of heat of a heat pipe easily by a method wherein a container is formed of heat pipes and flexible tubes connecting between both ends heat transfer sections while the heat pipe is provided with an up-and-down moving mechansim moving a heat transfer section at the side of heat transfering and receiving section.
CONSTITUTION: A heat pipe is constituted of containers 1a, provided in ground, and finned containers 1c as well as flexible tubes 2, which are provided in an air feeding duct 19. Upon cooling operation in summer, containers 1c are lowered by a link 6 and a driving mechanism 7 while containers 1a are used for condensing side and the containers 1c are used for vaporizing side. Air, taken through an air feeding tower 18, effects heat exchange in the air feeding duct 19 and becomes cold air by cold heat in the ground during winter season, then, is sent into a room by an air feeding fan 10 through a duct 11. Discharging air is discharged into atmosphere by another fan 12. In this case, the flow direction of heat from the air feeding tower 18 is shwon by an arrow sign 13 in a diagram. Upon heating operation, the containers 1c are lifted by the link 6 and the driving mechanism 7 and heat in the ground, which is stored in summer, is sent to the containers 1c through a cycle reverse to the cycle in the operation in summer whereby the heat can be used for heati1ng. In this case, the flow direction of heat becomes a direction shown by another arrow sign 13a in another diagram.
