Abstract:
To provide a heat processing apparatus and a heat processing method for granules capable of effectively using heat by recovering the heat when performing cooling processing to the high temperature granules discharged from a heating furnace.SOLUTION: A heat processing apparatus 1 of this invention comprises: a heating furnace 2 including a heated air supply burner 10 that heats granules at a predetermined temperature; a preheating furnace 3 that preheats unheated granules; and supply means 4 that supplies the preheated granules discharged from the preheating furnace 3 to the heating furnace 2. The preheating furnace 3 has an indirect heating-type double cylinder structure consisting of a rotatable inner cylinder 14 into which the unheated granules are supplied and an outer cylinder 15 which is provided to cover an outer periphery of the inner cylinder 14 and into which the high temperature granules discharged from the heating furnace 2 are supplied as a heat source.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
