This heat pump type air conditioner is provided with the function for raising a temperature of a high pressure side refrigerant of a primary refrigerant to a high temperature, raising a temperature of the secondary refrigerant heated by the primary refrigerant up to a high temperature by an inter-refrigerant heat exchanger 7 and raising an indoor air temperature for exchanging heat with the secondary refrigerant to a high temperature by an indoor heat exchanger 8 by sealing a refrigerant operable under supercritical pressure as the primary refrigerant, and is provided with a first auxiliary heat exchanger 5 for exchanging heat between a high pressure side refrigerant and a low pressure side refrigerant of the primary refrigerant and a second auxiliary heat exchanger 9 for exchanging heat between the secondary refrigerant and the primary refrigerant after passing through the indoor heat exchanger 8. Even if a passage for circulating the primary refrigerant is switched by switching of cooling operation and heating operation, the refrigerant after an outlet of an outdoor heat exchanger 3 and the inter-refrigerant heat exchanger 7 being a radiator and a heat sink of the primary refrigerant is introduced to the first auxiliary heat exchanger 5 and the second auxiliary heat exchanger 9.
