To provide a heat pump type hot water supply apparatus capable of improving energy efficiency by effectively utilizing hot water in an intermediate part in a hot water supply tank.
The heat pump type hot water supply apparatus is provided with the hot water supply tank 26 capable of storing hot water; a heat exchanger 27 for hot water supply for heating hot or cold water in the hot water supply tank; a heat exchanger 28 for a bathtub for performing heat exchange of hot water in the hot water supply tank and bathtub water in the bathtub 14; top part hot water discharge piping 40 provided at a top part 26A of the hot water supply tank; intermediate part hot water discharge piping provided at the intermediate part 26C of the hot water supply tank; and a temperature sensor 94 for detecting a hot water temperature in the hot water supply tank. Hot water in the intermediate part is supplied through the intermediate part hot water discharge piping 33 according to the hot water temperature detected by the temperature sensor. When the hot water temperature detected by the temperature sensor is lower than a predetermined temperature, hot water in the top part 26A is supplied through the top part hot water discharge piping 40.
